On Saturday, 14 May the Bar Convent had an informal breakfast visit from the Mayor of York, the Rev. Councillor Chris Cullwick. This arose from Sr Patricia’s involvement with the York Interfaith Group whom the Mayor had addressed a few weeks earlier. He happened to mention that Bar Convent breakfasts were known to be the best in York and promised to come before he left office. He, and the Civic Party, enjoyed their breakfast, and afterwards met with some of the sisters before having tour of the Heritage Centre and Bar Convent.
