In late October 2024, all members of the IBVM / CJ had been invited to assemble at the Loreto Spirituality Centre in Llandudno. There were various reasons for this get together: to celebrate the IBVM jubilarians, along with a handful of birthdays; to receive and discuss an update on the progress towards ‘Becoming One’; and time to get to know one another better. The preparatory team had done a great deal to ensure everyone able to be present was fully involved. Fr Dermot Preston SJ facilitated the meeting and it was good to have a spiritual theme throughout. We all came away with a greater understanding of what the proposed merger will require of us and where the process goes from here. Mary Ward would have been delighted.
